DePalmo; loving mother of Larry, Roseann (Michael) Was, Beth (Paul) Maute, Peter (Michelle) and Jay (Amanda); cherished grandmother of Rob Shaffer, Katie (Brendon) Stock, Cortlin (Corey) Specht, Kayla and Trevor Was, Jasmine, Jesse and Julia DePalmo; adored Gigi of Courtney, Logan & Kate Shaffer; Taelyn & Adley Stock; Graylyn, Halstyn & Ezryn Specht; and Finn Simpson.

AnnaMarie was the heart of her family - a woman whose love was felt in the little things: a warm meal, a welcoming home, and the way she made everyone feel cared for just by being near. She found her greatest joy in time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and took immense pride in the beautiful family she and Pete built together.

Known for her independent spirit, AnnaMarie lived life on her own terms with quiet strength and grace. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures and the friendships that came with them. She loved bowling and playing dominos, always appreciating the laughter and connection those moments brought. She was a devoted member of the Holy Rosary Society at Our Lady of Pompeii, where her faith and sense of community were an important part of her life.

Together with her beloved husband, she cherished their years as snowbirds in Clearwater, Florida, creating treasured memories in the sunshine and forming lifelong friendships. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, embracing fun, friendship, and fellowship with her vibrant spirit.

AnnaMarie also had a sense of humor that those closest to her knew well - from her playful annoyance at the joyful chaos and loud noises of her great-grandchildren to her unforgettable (and often adorable) eye-rolls when visitors may have stayed just a little too long. These small, human moments are part of what made her so deeply loved.

AnnaMarie will be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle strength, her independent nature, and the joy she found in bringing people together. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished so deeply and in the many lives she touched.

Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC. FUNERAL HOME 27 Aurora St. Lancaster, NY Thursday from 3-7pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pompeii Church 129 Laverack Ave. Friday at 10am (please assemble at church).  Share condolences at wendelandloecherinc.com
