Ehrenreich Barbara Jean October 18, 1934 – May 8, 2026

Barbara Jean (DiGangi) Ehrenreich, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 8, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Buffalo, New York, she was the devoted wife of the late Donald Joseph Ehrenreich, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald J. Ehrenreich, and her parents, Ray and Agnes Hilbert. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa A. Ehrenreich, and her brothers Anthony [Skip] DiGangi (June), John Hilbert (Maureen) and her brothers-in-law, James Ehrenreich, Dale Ehrenreich and David Ehrenreich.

She is survived by her children, Douglas Ehrenreich (Crystal [CJ]), Mary Ehrenreich (Stephen), Andrea Ehrenreich, and Joseph Ehrenreich. Barbara loved, with her whole heart, her grandchildren: Elliott (Sherry), Olivia, Claire, Sarai, Sofia, Samuel, Shelby, Zack, Terrell, and William

She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her sister, Kathi Hilbert; she is survived by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Michael Ehrenreich (Alei), Judy Bremiller, and Patricia Russell, and her former daughter-in-law, Nicole Ehrenreich. Barbara was a woman of deep faith and an active member of both St. Mary of the Assumption and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary churches. She committed her life to serving others and, alongside her husband, found her greatest joy in her family, ensuring that many memories were made.

She loved her family with her whole heart, especially during family gatherings and holidays. Her love of music and the arts will be remembered by her poetry writing, embroidery gifts and her lovely singing voice.  Her daily solitaire games, crosswords and puzzle table will be remembered always and carried on by her family. Her life was a testament to love, dedication, and service. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of faith and family; her legacy lives on through the kindness she showed and the deep-rooted values she passed down to her family.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on June 13, 2026 at 10:30am, where we will celebrate her life and honor her memory.  Share condolences at wendelandloecherinc.com
