KONIECZKO - Brian    April 9, 1973 - February 2, 2026

Brian Konieczko, 52, of East Brunswick, NJ formerly of Depew, NY passed away suddenly on February 2, 2026. He was a devoted husband of 18 years to Cheryl (nee Olender); loving father to Drew and Brooke, dear son of Virginia (nee Ott) and the late Raymond; devoted brother to Sandy (Scot) Pelletier, and adored uncle to Emma and Ethan.  Brian is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was especially grateful for the close friendships he shared with Joe, Dave, Chris, Steve and John.  Brian was a Senior writer/director/producer with CBS Sports for 13 years; a job he loved. He was known for his sharp editorial judgement, his calm leadership under pressure, and a deep respect for the integrity of the game. He loved producing campaigns for large sporting events and launches.  Outside of work Brian had a passion for the Kansas City Royals, the NY Jets (or Bills), the music of Guns & Roses, The Beatles, and Pearl Jam. He had a love for great TV shows and a proper Buffalo wing. Brian leaves behind many friends and family who will miss his quick wit, loyalty & kindness. His laughter and presence brought joy to all who knew him.  Funeral services were previously held in NJ. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 9:00am at St Mary of the Assumption Church in Lancaster NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Honoring Brian by Supporting Drew and Brooke" GOFUNDME set up to help support Cheryl, Drew and Brooke in this difficult time
