Obituary

MCKENZIE Clark U March 15, 1942 - May 16, 2026

Clark U. McKenzie passed peacefully at home on May 16, 2026, after a long illness, with his beloved wife of
61 years, Sandra (Hamilton) McKenzie, by his side.
A lifelong resident of Lancaster, New York, Clark graduated from Lancaster High School with the Class of
1960, where he was known as an accomplished athlete and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. He
especially enjoyed attending monthly lunch gatherings with his classmates, sharing stories and reminiscing
about their youthful shenanigans.
Following high school, Clark attended Erie Community College and later the University at Buffalo, where he
earned his bachelor's degree. He began his career at Ashland Oil, where he met Sandy, the love of his life.
He later joined NYSEG, where he dedicated 30 years of service before retiring.
Clark and Sandy built a loving family together, raising their three sons, Scott (Dana), Keith, and Brian, all of
whom followed in their father's footsteps at Lancaster High School. Clark took immense pride in cheering
and supporting his sons and, later, his grandchildren — Zachary, Taylor, Brianna, Kaitlyn, William, Elizabeth,
and Rebecca — at football, lacrosse, track, soccer, wrestling, dance and choir events.
An avid antique collector, Clark especially enjoyed collecting Fisher-Price treasures. He loved spending
weekends searching for hidden gems at garage sales and flea markets. He was also a devoted Buffalo Bills
fan and proudly held season tickets for 30 years, always hoping to see the Bills win the Super Bowl.
Clark was predeceased by his siblings, Heather, Bonnie, and Jack, and is survived by his brother, Doug.
Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC. FUNERAL HOME, 27 Aurora Street
