COPPOLA – Dawn L. (nee Shaw)
Died on September 5, 2024 at age 76.  She was born in Buffalo, NY on May 26, 1948.  Loving daughter of the late Barbara Shaw (nee Trusnik) and Frederick J. Shaw, Sr.  Predeceased by her siblings Ronald (Michelle) Shaw  and Gail (Dennis)  Falkiewicz .  Loving sister to Frederick Shaw, Jr., Nancy Mapps, Scott (Jennifer) Shaw and Kelly (Susan)Shaw.  Dawn earned an Engineering Degree at the University at Buffalo.  She retired after 30+ years of service with Tops Markets Inc. where she was the first female engineer in the Buffalo, NY market and designed and remodeled many stores for the supermarket chain.

Dawn moved to Roanoke in 2001 with her then husband Michael N. Coppola (now deceased) taking on the role of an executive's wife entertaining business associates and colleagues.

She volunteered for many years with various animal and women's shelters in Roanoke.

Dawn was an avid tennis player, enjoyed golfing, traveling with family and friends, gardening, sewing, cooking, and her many pets.

Dawn be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Family will be present at a visitation and memorial service held on Saturday, October 5th from 12 PM – 4 PM at Wendel & Loecher Funeral Home at 27 Aurora Street in Lancaster.  A service in Roanoke VA is also planned.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.  Share condolences at wendelandloecherinc.com
