Obituary

SEARER - Jacob T.
On Friday, August 13th, 2021, Jacob T.
Searer, loving son, brother, grandson,
nephew, uncle, and friend, passed
away at the age of 31. Jake was born
on February 23rd, 1990, at Millard
Filmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst,
NY, to Thomas and Darcy Searer. He
grew up in Lancaster, NY and attended
Lancaster High School, graduating in
2008. After high school, Jake found a
career in heating and cooling, where he
excelled as a technician. This led Jake
to his great passion founding his own
HVAC business, Smart Home Heating
and Cooling. Being his own boss
and working side by side with a good
friend provided Jake with an immense
sense of pride. Jake lived large. Not
a day went by where he didn't dream
big, hope big, and wish big for himself
and for everybody around him. Having
suffered the losses of best friends
throughout the years to illness and
disease, Jake never gave up trying to
make people laugh and care for them.
With a heart of gold, Jake loved his
friends and family with an unmatched
passion. Jake had a love for trucks,
motorcycles, and snowmobiles. As a
child, snowmobiling was a passion that
brought him countless hours of time with
his family and as an adult, motorcycling
picked up where snowmobiling had left
off. Weekend rides and long summer
trips were cherished and enjoyed to the
fullest. There was always a plan for the
next big truck, the next bike, the next
sled, and the next trip. Jake is preceded
in death by his grandparents, Arthur
Searer and Alfred and Alice Mazur,
as well as his childhood best friend,
Chadwick Kulpa and his best friend
in young adulthood, Aaron Morgan.
Jacob is survived by his parents,
Thomas and Darcy; brother Zachary
(Alison); sisters Jessica (Jordan) and
Abigail (Alyssa), and nephews Micah,
Lorenzo, and Theodore Giglia; as well
as by many cousins and close friends.
Family will receive relatives and friends
at the WENDEL & LOECHER, INC.,
FUNERAL HOME, 27 Aurora St.,
Lancaster, Wednesday, 4-7 PM, with
a Funeral Service being held at 7 PM.
