GROBLEWSKI – Lucy D. (Schmidt) passed away suddenly on May 29, 2025, in Lancaster, NY.  Married to Richard Groblewski for 52 years with three daughters; Betsy (Greg) Young, Erin (Anthony) Puntoriero and Molly (Steven) Kime; grandmother to Sophia, Ethan, Lily, Brayden, Anthony and Alessandro.  Lucy was the daughter of Mary and Donald Schmidt and one of six children.  Sibling to Beverly (Gerald) Elsa (George), Mary Susan (Christopher), late Karl (Linda), Peggy (Bernard).  Lucy was born and raised in Cowlesville, NY, and moved to Depew, NY.  She met her high school sweetheart (Depew HS class '71) Richard and they married in 1973.  Lucy was a stay-at-home mom, and for years helped many families with their childcare needs.  Lucy was so giving and creative.  She sent cards for every occasion, and put her hand decorated Easter eggs at every place setting.  She made beaded bracelets for every woman she wanted to sparkle like her.  She taught us even on tough days, try to keep your sparkle.  Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC.
