BENZ - M. Margaret (Dawson) August 1, 1938 – May 21, 2025  Of Lancaster, NY.  Beloved wife of the late Gerald Benz; loving mother of James, Patrick (Kathleen), Terry (Michelle) and Paul; grandmother of Elizabeth (Matt) Justice, Alex (Lisette) Benz and their mother Nancy Benz; Payton, Mason, Evan; Elena, Elise; Emma and Meredith and their mother Christine Benz; great-grandmother of Ava and Adam Justice; daughter of the late J. Emmett and Annabel Dawson, sister of Eileen Dawson, late Robert (late Patricia) Dawson, late Sheila (David) Coughlin; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Maggie was a graduate of Depew High School and D'youville College.  She taught business at Maryvale High School and stopped to raise her family.  She returned to substitute teaching and worked at the Lancaster-Depew Federal Credit Union.   Maggie was married to Gerry for 57 wonderful years and shared many great times with family, friends, and her grandchildren. Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC. FUNERAL HOME, 27 Aurora St., Lancaster, NY Thursday May 29th from 3-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption RC Church, Lancaster, Friday May 30th at 10 AM.
