NEWMAN - Madeleine C.
(nee Davenport)
Entered into rest October 30, 2021,
into the loving arms of her late husband
David. She was his loving wife for 54
years. Madeleine was the devoted,
loving, and proud mom to Tim (late
Patricia) and Paul (Robin). Cherished
Gigi to Kamryn and Ty, daughter to the
late Leroy and and Rita Davenport, and
her late brother Leroy, Jr. Survived by
nieces and nephews whom she loved
so much. Also her loving cousins and
friends. A Mass of Christian celebration
will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church
in Lancaster on November 20, at 9:30
AM. No prior visitation. Madeleine
loved to be around her family and
friends. They were very important to
her. She enjoyed dancing, reading
and travel and loved to decorate,
especially Christmas. Member of the
Fraternal Order Orioles since 1971
and served as the National Chaplain
and Treasurer for a combined total of
20 years. Served as secretary on the
board of St. Mary's Alumni Association
for many years, and played Mrs. Claus
for years with the Lancaster Carolers.
Worked with her husband for their
printing business. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Hospice
