Obituary

SUAREZ - Mark J.  January 15, 1958 - August 4, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Joseph Suarez, who left this world surrounded by the love of his family. Mark will be remembered for his generous heart, his love of family, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Mark was a devoted father, proud grandfather, beloved son, brother, and friend. He found some of his greatest happiness spending time with his family, especially working on his beloved Camaro alongside his son. He also enjoyed building and flying model airplanes with his brother, creating memories through a hobby they shared and loved.

Mark will also be remembered for his unforgettable Fourth of July celebrations. Every year, he looked forward to bringing family, friends, and neighbors together with spectacular fireworks displays that lit up the night sky and created lasting memories for everyone who attended. His enthusiasm, generosity, and larger-than-life celebrations became a cherished neighborhood tradition. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Suarez (Amanda), Hunter Suarez (Alexis), and Zack Suarez (Danielle); his cherished grandsons, Jayce and Jax; his loving mother, Nancy Gostomski (late John); his siblings, Thomas Suarez (Tracy), Joseph Suarez (Debbie), and Susan Hercek (Victor); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Interment services for immediate family will be held on Friday August 21st at 11am at Holy Cross Cemetery office (South Park entrance) in Lackawanna, New York.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life picnic on Friday August 21st at 12pm at Ralph J. Galanti Park in Lackawanna. Together, we will share stories, laughter, and cherished memories as we honor Mark's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Mark's memory by spending time with those you love, sharing stories with family and friends, and keeping his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.  Share condolences at wendelandloecherinc.com
