Of Lancaster, Ny beloved husband of Barbara (Nowak) Szymanski; loving father of Bonnie (late Paul)Reding, Thomas (Margaret) Szymanski, Cynthia (James) Ringo and the late Kathleen (late Dan) Baccari; dearest grandfather of Michael, Erin (Steve) , Peter, Andrea (Jon) , Andy (Trish), Alex (Mary), Emily, Molly, Katie and Kelly; brother of the late Ronald (Irene) Szymanski; uncle of Kim, Sue and Rich. Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC. FUNERAL HOME 27 Aurora St. Lancaster, NY Friday October 9th from 3-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pompeii Church 129 Laverack Ave. Lancaster, NY Saturday October 10th at 9:30am (please assemble at church) Melvin was a Combat Veteran in the US Airforce in Korea, and a 30 year member of the Lancaster Planning Board.
