Beloved mother of Zoe Ann, Kathleen
(Scott) Grieble, James (Lisa), and
Michael (Eileen); sister of Michael (Judy)
Fleming; and grandmother of many. An
exceptional athlete and talented golfer,
Myra taught physical education and
coached generations of students in the
Lancaster Central School District and
surrounding communities. Also referred to
as "Mickey" or "Killer," she was known
for her candor, her laughter and quick
wit, her integrity, and her relentless
independence. A pioneering spirit, she
fought to be the first woman primary
member of Lancaster Country Club,
where she remained active until her
passing. She was a devoted and loyal
friend, a fierce advocate for fairness,
and lover of animals. A dedicated
fan of professional sports, she was
knowledgeable and enthusiastic in her
support, especially of the Buffalo Bills
and Sabres. Always true to herself, she
inspired joy and shared it generously
with all who knew her. A Celebration of
Life will be held at a later date. In lieu
