On April 2nd, 2024 at ninety-nine years and two days old, Norma June Dembinski
(née Butler) raced into heaven to be greeted by her savior and all her
siblings. Norma was born on March 31, 1925 to Hoyt S. & Edna E. Butler at home
in the Village of Lancaster, NY. Having lived to be the oldest of the six, she is also
the last sibling to die. She is predeceased by a brother Ronald Butler, sisters: Lois
Benzel, Helen Caine, Elizabeth Butler, and Patricia Zaccaria. Norma attended
Lancaster Schools, graduating in 1943. Following graduation Norma enrolled in
Comptometer school which led to a life-long career in bookkeeping and
accounting, for several decades in both WNY and Florida. In December, 1963 she
married Daniel D. Dembinski and after their honeymoon vacation they decided to
permanently relocate to Florida. Originally moving to the Boca Raton area they
would eventually settle in Lake Worth, where Dan opened an accounting
office. Shortly before their relocation to Lake Worth they would have two
children: Lori Anne Gonzales and Susan Marie Cowley. Norma is also survived by
three grandchildren: Caesar Jr., Anna Marie & Isabela, plus additional greatgrandchildren. Bob Horrell was a son to her. Through her maternal grandmother,
Norma is a ninth generation Mayflower Descendant of Myles Standish. Norma
was the last living founding member of Hillview Baptist Church in Lancaster,
NY. Norma and Dan were involved early on at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church,
Ft. Lauderdale. Subsequent to Dan's passing Norma became a member of Lake
Worth First Church of the Nazarene in Lake Worth, FL – walking distance from
