Raymond J. Farrell Sr.
November 9, 1938 – May 15, 2026

Raymond J. Farrell Sr. passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of the late Diane Farrell, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

Raymond was the son of the late Earl and Bertha Farrell. He was predeceased by his siblings Earl, Leonard, Edward, Eugene, Albert, James, Joan, June, and John.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and carried great pride in his service to his country throughout his life.

Raymond was also very active in his community. He was a dedicated member and leader within the Black Rock Businessmen's Association and the Lions Club, organizations through which he formed many lasting friendships and gave generously of his time and energy.

He was the loving father of Michael Farrell (Lisa), Patrick Farrell (Karen), and Raymond Farrell Jr. (Kimberly). He was a proud grandfather of Chauncey St. John (Sarah), Lacey Valenzuela (Jorge), Misty Barrett (Cillian), Sarah Kelly (Dwan), Finius Browne, Sean Farrell (Allie), Annie Walkup (Joe), Maceo Farrell, Maxwell Winn, and Piper Farrell.

Raymond was also the cherished great-grandfather of Kamdyn Kelly, Cooper Farrell, Georgia Rose St. John, Jack St. John, Giancarlo Valenzuela, Glen Walkup, and Antonio Valenzuela. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC. FUNERAL HOME 27 Aurora St. Lancaster, NY Thursday May 21st  from 3-6pm.

Affectionately known as "Grumpy," Raymond was known for his strong personality, sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family.

Raymond enjoyed family, camping, bowling, and spending time with friends, but nothing brought him greater happiness than his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He took immense pride in their lives, accomplishments, and the time he spent with them. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, attending family gatherings, or simply enjoying their company, his love for his family was at the center of everything he did. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the joy of his life.
