Richard F. Groblewski Jr., of Lancaster NY, passed away after a long health struggle on August 21, 2025.

Married to the late Lucy Groblewski for 52 years with three daughters: Betsy Young (Greg), Erin Puntoriero (Anthony), and Molly Kime (Steven) and 22 koi fish.  Grandfather to Sophia, Ethan, Lily, Brayden, Anthony and Alessandro.

Richard was the son of Dorothy (Jablonski) and Richard Sr and one of three children. Sibling to Joan (Bob) Grandits and Donald (Katherine) Groblewski.  Richard was born and raised in Depew, NY, and met his high school sweetheart (Depew HS class '71), Lucy, and they married in 1973. Rich was a hard worker, starting his career as an Erie County Sheriff and then resigning to join the sales business. In later years, his love of gardening was shared with so many when he founded the Lancaster Garden Walk. His Japanese style garden was a place of peace and serenity that he loved to share with all.  He ran the garden walk event for 20 years before passing the torch to a beloved friend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church Lancaster, Ny Saturday August 30, 2025 at 9:30am.  Please assemble at church, no prior visitation.  Share condolences at wendelandloecherinc.com
