Wayne G. Welch, born October 29, 1948, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in the morning, surrounded by family.

Wayne was born in Herkimer, NY, and spent his childhood in Richfield Springs. He later made his home in Lancaster, NY. In more recent years, he lived in Bradenton, Florida, before finally returning to the Buffalo, New York area to be with his family.

Wayne was the owner of Roger's Village Hardware in Lancaster, New York, and took great pride in being a member of the Lancaster-Depew Rotary Club. Wayne was an avid golfer, spending a good amount of his Florida years on the golf course.

He is survived by his three daughters; his ex-wife; his seven grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.

In accordance with his wishes, no services or funeral are planned.

Wayne will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and community.
